Our Senior Pastor, Kirk McAtear, also serves as the mission director for the Assemblies of God, Great Britain. He and his team have established 3Dmissiongb, helping every church and believer to Discover, Develop and Deploy into God’s mission. Pastor Kirk has been involved in Chrisitan ministry in 21 nations. 3Dmissionsgb has 84 global missionaries working in 30 nations around the world.
Pastor Kirk also serves in a volunteer role on the World AOG mission commission (WAGF MC) team and the Pentecostal European Mission (PEM) committee.
Current global mission projects
Czech Republic - Since 2015 Pastor Kirk and teams from Connect Church have been serving churches and youth conferences in the Czech Republic. Also four teams from Czech have come across to experience and be trained by Connect church. Impacting around 20 churches through this partnership. Connect church has provided leadership training, praise and worship teams, youth and children's camps, young adults camps,
More recently Connect church is partnering with Tomas Kolarik in planting a church in Parouba, Ostrava.
Sri Lanka - Supporting a church plant led by Nathan and Brooke Dissaneyeke in Colombo. The focus of this church is the youth and next generation.
Partners
Compassion - We are a church partner with Compassion, and over the years have sponsored 125 children in Compassion homes in Port Au Prince in Haiti. In 2012 a team from Connect church visited the compassion projects and saw first hand the difference compassion makes to helping children in poverty.
Open Doors - We are a church partner with Open Doors. Helping support Christians who have been persecuted around the world. In 2017 Pastor Kirk was able to visit the work in Lebanon that Open Doors does with the Syrian refugees and the Syrian churches.
Samaritan's purse - in 2020 we contributed 44 shoe boxes to be filled for children in poverty
3Dmission and Wycliffe Bible translators - gave to seeing a completion of a bible translation in North Africa.
